Description
Our large law firm client is seeking an experienced Finance Associate Attorney to join its Detroit office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with traditional financing transactions, as well as complex issues that include commercial paper programs, bilateral credit facilities, acquisition financing, derivatives, and other sophisticated arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating finance documents for clients, including loan agreements, security agreements, and guarantees
- Conducting due diligence and managing complex transactions
- Advising clients on legal issues related to financing transactions
- Working directly with clients and building relationships with them
- Managing multiple transactions and deadlines
- Mentoring and training junior associates
Qualifications
- At least three years of relevant experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Michigan or the ability to quickly become licensed in the state
