Corporate Associate Attorney (Commercial Transactions & Mergers and Acquisitions)
Description

We are working with the Detroit-based partners of a large national firm on its search for a corporate associate attorney with a background in commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience and a demonstrated track record of success in handling complex corporate matters.

Responsibilities
  • Work with senior attorneys to advise clients on various corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including transaction agreements, disclosure documents, ad due diligence materials.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues related to corporate transactions.
  • Manage and coordinate due diligence activities and coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals.
  • Communicate and negotiate with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
