Commercial Litigation Associate in Metro Detroit, Michigan

Our client, a highly regarded midsize law firm with a strong national reputation, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Metro Detroit office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated issues while enjoying a collaborative culture and a highly competitive compensation structure.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters and will be eager to join a sophisticated practice.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a broad range of commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Participate in all phases of discovery, including depositions and document review
• Assist with trial preparation and attend hearings as appropriate
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams

Qualifications

• JD
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and research skills
• Experience with motion practice and discovery
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
• Admission to the Michigan Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
